String theory came about one day whilst walking the corridors between my office area and the cafeteria in our building. In the morning on that day I was thinking about the exercise regimes I had done in the past, the guitar practice, the study in bursts I had done on various subjects, and also about the sporadic work in bursts I do for my company in the evenings away from my day job.
I began thinking to myself that morning, that it would be good if I could do them on a regular basis, rather than just leave them in the past to be forgotten. All those activities were leading me to a better place, I simply shelved them for no apparent reason other than laziness, even though I knew I would love to be an expert and reach the endgame.
I thought that it would be a good idea to string those activities together to be done on a regular basis. It wasn’t until the afternoon of that day, going for another coffee that it dawned on me, I could call this philosophy towards living String Theory.
This website is the result of one of those activities in my past that I am now pursuing. That is website development from scratch, programming in HTML and CSS at the moment. I have programmed in Javascript in the past as well and plan a more dynamic website. But for now, I am sticking with learning the basics and cementing them in my subconscious. I plan to continue to become better at website development for the rest of my life for my own interests.
The main reason though to create this website is to present my ideas publicly about my string theory philosophy. The methodology and concepts which I write about to do with that subject are only published once I have tried them on myself for a period of time. If I find that I have some success with them and have integrated them into my own life, I will only then publish them for public consumption. This website is not so much about publishing publicly, but more as a site I can visit myself anywhere I am to remind myself of what I need to keep doing. This site is effectively my own personal affirmation website.
A secondary reason for developing this website is to present my ideas and articles I will write, a blog I plan to begin writing and also some personal photos I’ve selected for sharing publicly. This really is a site more about sharing my insights into living, and my life, with real content, rather than utilising social media.
